What would we do without podcasts?

Seriously though, think about it…

  1. They’re free.
  2. You can listen to them anywhere & anytime (assuming you downloaded them).
  3. The hosts provide insights that might not be able to get fully communicated in a book or blog.

Odds are if I am in the car, a podcast is playing. Or if I have my headphones in, a podcast is playing. With free education at my fingertips and my only job is to listen, its hard to not want to constantly learn.

Below are my most frequently visited personal financial podcasts that provide constant knowledge on ways to improve your finances. These are just some of the MANY podcasts available on my podcast app. If you have any recommendations, please be sure to leave them in the comment section!

#1. Afford Anything

Paula Pant is the host of this phenomenal podcast. She is 34, financially independent, owns 8 properties and is just an all around inspiring human. Paula discusses personal finance, real estate and answers listener questions. It’s safe to say that I never miss an episode of her podcast.

P.S. They are released every Monday and the first Friday of every month has a bonus episode where Paula brings on Joe from Stacking Benjamins.

#2. BiggerPockets – The Money Show

This is another Monday podcast that helps motivate you for the week ahead. Mindy and Scott, the two hosts, interview guests who have reached financial independence (FI). In just over a year of podcasting, they have interviewed quite the array of guests who are all not only FI but have all had such different journeys to FI. Each journey is discussed in detail and it really helps prove that the paths to FI are limitless, you just have to want it.

#3. ChooseFI

This podcast focuses on financial freedom by interviewing those who are on the path or have already reached this level. Brad and Jonathan are personable hosts who are really passionate about the topic which shines through in each episode. Episodes are released on Mondays and Fridays each week.

#4. Stacking Benjamins

A fun podcast that keeps you on your toes, this show brings on a variety of different hosts to hone in on their different experiences and opinions. You will hear from Joe (guest on Afford Anything), OG, Paula Pant (from Afford Anything) and many more. Personal finance is made simple with this podcast which is released on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday recurring schedule.

#5. The Mad Fientist

Brandon has interviewed some of the most influential people in the FIRE (financial independence retire early) community. From MMM (Mr. Money Mustache) to JD Roth, his episodes are packed with juicy info. He doesn’t release these podcast on a regular basis, so when you do see an available episode pop on in your podcast app it feels like Christmas morning.

#6. XYPN (XY Planning Network)

Alan is the host of this podcast and also the co-founder of XY Planning Network. The goal of the podcast (and XYPN in general) is to help financial planners who want to start their own fee-only firm serving Gen X and Gen Y clients. A plethora of topics are covered, from tax planning to running a business, this podcast is a great resource to hear the opinions of CFPs.

#7. The FI Show

Cody and Justin may be somewhat new to podcasting but I swear each one of their podcasts presents a new hack. For example, we had no idea that if you are a member of the armed forces, you do not have to pay the annual fee on most credit cards! Mind blowing. Anyways, this podcast is released every Tuesday and focuses on life optimization and financial independence.

Conclusion

So there you have it. My 7 favorite personal finance podcasts that will definitely help you improve your financial health. Give them a listen and let me know what you think. They’re free afterall so there is really no reason not to😊. Do you have any podcast recommendations? If so, leave them in the comment section – we can always learn from each other!
